The final major environment from Red vs Blue: Zero, this assault on an ancient alien temple takes place across a wide variety of set pieces that needed to have some degree of common appearance. Due to the fact that scenes in several settings would be inter-cut with one another, they also needed color and design variety to be able to tell them apart at a glance, as well as focus on the various moods of each encounter space.
Coming in late into the production, many of these spaces were built off of purchased assets to save designing time compared to earlier sets. My main focus then was to modify them to have more aesthetic synergy and cohesion, keep them from being simple asset flips, and provide ample lighting opportunities for what was desired by creative.
